So who is this Keith guy, anyway?

Many of my guests are friends of friends and often we have not actually met. Others have met me only at the Halloween party and we have never seen each other out of costume. This page is intended as a brief introduction to me.
My name is Keith Bowden. I was born the morning after Halloween in 1965. After spending part of my life in Southeast Texas, my family moved to rural Hico, Texas where I completed high school. I received my bachelor's degree in 1993 from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas.
When I was young, I married Linda. She had two daughters, Jeri Lynn and Teresa, who I now joyfully share with her. In addition, we had two sons, Joshua and Russell. Linda and I are now divorced but maintain a very good relationship. I now am married to Amanda, and we have a daughter, Allie.
I am a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT), which in layman's terms means I work at a sleep diagnostic laboratory working to diagnose and treat sleep disorders.
I enjoy music. I went to multi-track recording school in the eighties. I still follow the industry, although I've been somewhat disenchanted with both the industry and the art form in recent years.
I like the outdoors. I love to camp, I'm a certified scuba diver, and I've been skydiving and bungee jumping. I can't wait to do it all again.
I like movies where the hero wins and gets the girl. My favorite film is "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell.
I like classic pin-up models, and I collect art and images of Marilyn Monroe.
I also have a peculiar hobby of collecting 3-D stero viewers (View Masters).
I play disc golf. It's similar to regular golf except instead of using a ball and a club you throw a disc similar to a small frisbee at a target.

So what's my deal with Halloween?
I really don't know. I didn't set out to be the "Halloween guy". It just sort of evolved over time. Being so close to my birthday the holiday has always had special meaning for me, but it's really been in the past two decades that it has become a big annual event. We have fun with it, and we don't take ourselves too seriously.
Occasionally, but not very often, I run across someone who does take things too seriously and they won't come to the party because someone might see them in a costume. Lighten up, people. Junior high is over. Life is short. Enjoy it.
It says "Keith's Halloween Party" on the webpage, but in reality it belongs to all of us. It's our annual release, and many of us look forward to it. Many of my friends plan their costume months in advance. I've had people suggest charging for the party to defray costs. Charging? Please. This is my labor of love and my gift to all of you. Come join me.
You still reading this? Wow. Thanks for your interest. See you at the party.
Peace,
